It's important to know:

This week we are going to learn some linking words. These words are very important because when we write or speak, they help us to be clear and connect our ideas, so people can understand us better.
Then, your task for now is very simple: choose two sentences and finish them. If it is necessary, use a dictionary.

3. It was a pretty good movie, but...
4. Although my job doesn't pay well, ...
5. My father is French and my mother is Spanish, then...

It's important to know:
So / Then- It means there is a consequence for what happened. E.g.: I didn't do the homework, so / then my teacher didn't give me the points I needed.
Because- It means there is a reason for what you are saying. E.g.: My sister eats chocolate because she loves it a lot.
And- It means you didn't finish your idea and have to continue saying something. E.g.: On weekends I usually go out with my family and have fun.
And- It means you didn't finish your idea and have to continue saying something. E.g.: On weekends I usually go out with my family and have fun.
But / Although- It means there is an opposition between the two ideas from your sentence. E.g.: I like Spanish, but I prefer English. / Although I like Spanish, I prefer English.

Simple Past & Past Continuous
This week, I decided to post here this nice story that my friend Edmary Lopes sent to me by e-mail. It's a great idea to work Simple Past and Past Continuous. So, let's everybody participate writing a sentence which says what you were doing when the accident happened. Let's be creative! ;)

Past continuous structure: subject + verb To Be (past) + main verb with ING + complement of the sentence.
E.g.: When the accident happened, I was watching TV. // or I was watching TV when the accident happened.
